On Tuesday (May 5), Hilary Duff was spotted shopping for shoes at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills. The former Disney starlet wears a trendy pair of black framed glasses as she carry a Hermes Birkin bag.

Meanwhile, Hilary talks about her character in her new movie “Provinces of Night”, saying:

“I wouldn’t say ‘gothic,’ but she (Raven) definitely is in a dark place with her family. Her mom, you can kind of tell they have a loving relationship but I think my character’s constantly challenged with, you know, who she is. If she’s like her mother or if she’s totally different, but she doesn’t know how to be different. And she’s never fallen in love or even knew that that was out there until she meets Fleming and she gets to experience something that’s kind of magical to her. And it gets taken away. It’s a very hard story to explain but everybody’s characters are key and it’s really just about how all of their relationships are intertwined, I guess. And how you hurt the people that you love.”

As for her romance with her boyfriend Mike Comrie, she said:

“I think that we are kinda private. It’s impossible to live your life completely that way when people are waiting outside your house all the time.”

Dont Work With Rani: Ash Tells Abhishek

Just when people were talking about Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee being an item after the success of Bunty and Babli and there Abhishek despite giving all the hints right somehow drifted away to Ash.

Whatever be the reason, but Aishwarya Rai is not willing to let go off the past. According to some popular media, “Abhishek was offered a small but significant role in the Yash Raj banner project the shooting for which has already begun now. He declined the offer due to Rani Mukherjee. He now does not work with Rani after his marriage with Aishwarya Rai. He had earlier done a cameo in their Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) opposite Rani so it was taken for granted that he would say yes”.

Another source reveals, “Ash is not comfortable with Abhishek’s friendship with Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek has decided not to work with any of the two.”

Guess… Ash should be a little more secure, considering she is an actor too and there is something called ‘professionalism’.

Recovered Big B Gets Back To Work

Amitabh Bachan after his birthday health scare has recuperated after one whole month and has gotten back to his dear old work.Confirming the news Big Sai, “I’m starting on 15th with Leena Yadav’s ‘Teen Patti’. There isn’t much pending work there.”

Big B was away to Udaipur on a small holiday, but with his physician.

“I needed to get away from home. I needed time to myself, to read and write. And to watch the films that I’ve been meaning to for a long time. It was so peaceful out here. I should do this more often. But where is the time to take time off?”

The man at 65 has a lot of fan following. One might feel it would have been a burden to be mobbed every now and then by fans who wont even spare him in illness and Amitabh explains,

“My fans are never a burden. They are welcome any time. I publicly meet them every Sunday and specific ones get to meet me on my films’ sets. No issues there… But I do regret not being able to meet the well-wishers that assembled to greet me. I am sure they have understood the gravity of the situation. There will be other moments to make up for the loss.”

I didn't mind Abhishek kissing John: Aishwarya Bachan

Dressed in a Cinderella-like white-and-black gown the beauty looked fresh despite performing her wifely duties and going about her hectic work schedule. Aishwariya is looking forward to the release of her Hollywood flick Pink Panther, is working on Shankar’s Robot and Mani’s Ravan (working title) and reveals that she is in discussion with Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Sanjay Leela Bhansali for their forthcoming ventures.

“The keyword is time management and I say it’s all about managing it and not questioning it! I learnt this a long-time back when I would always chalk-out a schedule for myself depending on how much I could fit in,” gushes the beauty.

She reacts with a grin when asked why she did not do Dostana and what was her reaction to Abhishek’s kissing scene with John Abraham in the film. “That’s okay, it was part of the film,” she replies coolly, “I’d have accepted 'Dostana', but it was my first offer immediately after marriage. Since the focus was on the chemistry between Abhishek and John and not on a love story, my presence would have taken that away from them.”

She concedes that both Abhishek and she are always attracted by films which give them a chance to experiment with their looks and characters. And she wants to give the audiences a different Aishwarya every time.

“Not that I plan my moves, as something great always comes along. Like the role I play in Ravan is something completely different from what I did in Mani Sir’s Iruvar and then Guru.”

As for the kind of endorsements she likes to do, the former Miss world smiles, “The product and campaign should be simple and understated and something that complements my personality.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan didn’t win the Miss World title just for the heck of it, she is smart and intelligent and that’s the reason she refused to endorse L’oreals latest skin lightening cream. When Ash refused, L’oreal appointed Sonam Kapoor as their new brand ambassador.

A source says, “It was the fairness cream that bothered Aishwarya. She said that she didn’t want to promote a fairness cream especially in India where one’s skin color is such a big issue.

She will never promote a product that discriminates on the basis of one’s skin color. Ours is a society where biases are so prevalent that she will do all she can to curb it.”

“When Aishwarya refused to relent, the cosmetic company was forced to get Sonam into the picture. They need an Indian face for the promotion and Sonam was the next ideal choice,”

The source adds, “Such stories seldom bother her. Aishwarya Rai is primarily guided by her sense of ethics as far as advertising is concerned.

She does not endorse products unless she believes in them. She was recently offered a fortune to replace Rani Mukerjee to endorse a popular mosquito repellent cream, but she turned down the offer.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not to accept French honor without dad

Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said, “Thank-you, but not now,” to the French government when they conferred on her the second highest civilian award, which was also given to Shah Rukh Khan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says, “I wanted my entire family — and that includes my parents, brother, sister-in-law, my husband and his parents, sister and brother-in-law — to be there. My father has been unwell and I wanted him to be there at this important moment.”

“It will be a glorious moment. But not without my father!”

But now her father is well and Ash has informed the French government to prepare for the ceremony.

I am not the kind of person who thinks you lose face when you apologise.

Accept the fact that women are superior beings and the superior species.

We men are nothing.

So don't ever mess with women. They have a fantastic ability to sulk.

They remember everything.

So there's no point fighting with them because you will never win.

“And you know what's worse? Even when you fight, at the end of the day you want to sleep peacefully.
